Jason Rhode, Ph.D., was named president and chief executive officer in May 2007. Previously, Dr. Rhode served as vice president and general manager of Cirrus Logic's Mixed Signal Audio Division, where he oversaw the revitalization of Cirrus Logic's strong portfolio of analog and mixed-signal converter ICs for consumer and professional audio markets. Previously, Rhode served as director of marketing for analog and mixed signal products.
Rhode joined Cirrus Logic upon completion of his doctorate degree in 1995 from North Carolina State University, serving as an analog design engineer. Rhode assumed roles as design manager in 1998 and became director of Marketing in 2002.
A member of IEEE, Jason has been issued 19 U.S. patents in the area of mixed signal technologies.
Rhode holds a bachelor of science in electrical engineering from San Diego State University, as well as a masters of science in electrical engineering and a doctorate from North Carolina State University.
Thurman K. Case Chief Financial Officer, Vice President of Finance and Treasurer
Thurman K. Case, vice president of Finance and treasurer, was appointed chief financial officer in February 2007.
Mr. Case joined Cirrus Logic in 2000 and has served in a variety of executive financial management positions. He has more than 23 years of experience in finance at several companies and organizations, including Case Associates Inc., where he provided consultant services to several companies, including Advanced Micro Devices Inc. Mr. Case was also previously employed by ValueRx/Diagnostek Inc., and Public Service of New Mexico Electric Gas Company.
Mr. Case received a bachelor of economics degree and a masters of business administration from New Mexico State University.
Scott Anderson Senior Vice President and General Manager, Mixed-Signal Audio Division
Scott Anderson is senior vice president and general manager of the Mixed-Signal Audio Division. Anderson. Anderson joined Cirrus Logic in October 2007 after having previously served as the president and chief operating officer of Freescale Semiconductor and as president and chief executive officer of Motorola Semiconductor Products Sector (2003-2005).
Anderson began his career in Motorola SPS in Austin in 1978 as a microprocessor product engineer and served in a variety of engineering and management positions. In 1991, he was appointed vice president and general manager of the Customer Specified Integrated Circuits Division and in 1996 moved to Japan as the managing director of the Semiconductor Products Division and deputy general manager of Nippon Motorola Ltd. From 1999 to 2003, Anderson served as the general manager of the Transportation and Standard Products Group. Anderson earned a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering from the University of Utah, where he graduated magna cum laude.
At Cirrus Logic, Anderson oversees the company's Mixed-Signal Audio division, which provides high-precision analog and mixed-signal components such as data converters, Class D amplification products and interface circuits which are used in a wide variety of consumer, professional and automotive audio applications.
Jo-Dee M. Benson Vice President, Corporate Communications & Human Resources
Jo-Dee Benson serves as the leader of Cirrus Logic's Corporate Communications and Human Resources organization. In her combined roles, Ms. Benson oversees Cirrus Logic's external marketing communications functions, such as brand management, public relations and Web-based marketing, as well as Cirrus Logic's Human Resources programs for alignment of strategic corporate business programs with employee development and services.
Ms. Benson joined Cirrus Logic in 1995 as director of Marketing Communications and has 20 years of industry experience in leading successful integrated communications programs. Prior to joining Cirrus Logic, Ms. Benson served as vice president of Marketing Communications with Vectris Telecom. Ms. Benson has also served such other companies as Genlyte, Inc., Peyton & Associates public relations firm, and St. Mary's Hospital Medical Center in Madison, Wis.
Ms. Benson obtained a bachelor of science degree from the University of Wisconsin at Madison.
Randy Carlson Vice President, Supply Chain Management
Randy Carlson became vice president of Supply Chain Management in February 2010.
Carlson first joined Cirrus Logic in 1995 as a quality engineer and served as senior manager of maintenance and equipment engineering from 1997-2002 over the Austin Test operation. Carlson rejoined the company in 2008 as director of Supply Chain Management after serving with STATS ChipPAC from 2003-2008 in various capacities.
Carlson has more than 20 years leadership in supply chain management functions and a solid record for leadership and team building. Carlson received his bachelor of science degree in mechanical engineering from Clarkson University in Potsdam, N.Y., and his masters in business administration from St. Edwards University in Austin.
Elvira Palmeda Vice President, Quality and Reliability Engineering
Elvira Palmeda is vice president of Quality and Reliability Engineering. She joined Cirrus Logic in 2012 and has 28 years of leadership experience in the area of Quality Management, Process and Manufacturing Engineering.
Palmeda previously served as senior director of Quality for Infineon Technologies, based in Michigan, for seven years supporting their Automotive, Industrial and Multi-Market business segments. Prior to Infineon, she worked for Delphi Delco Electronics and Safety for 16 years, originally based in Singapore, before relocating to Indiana to lead their Global Supplier Quality team. She began her career in the semiconductor industry with Intel Philippines, where she worked for 10 years in a variety of roles in Operations, Quality and Process Engineering.
Palmeda earned a bachelor's degree in chemical engineering from the University of the City of Manila as a government scholar.
Tom Stein Vice President and General Manager, Energy, Exploration and Lighting Division
Tom Stein became vice president and general manager of Cirrus Logic's Energy, Exploration and Lighting Division in September 2008. Stein is a long-time Cirrus Logic employee, having joined the company as a sales engineer in 1995. He has held various leadership positions in the sales and marketing divisions including director of marketing for mixed signal products and most recently director of sales for worldwide strategic accounts.
Stein received his bachelor of electrical engineering degree from Purdue University in 1995.
Gregory Scott Thomas Vice President, General Counsel and Corporate Secretary
Scott Thomas came to Cirrus Logic as vice president and associate general counsel in January 2001. He assumed the role of general counsel and corporate secretary in December 2003. Currently, Mr. Thomas manages Cirrus Logic's legal department and advises the company on a wide range of legal and business issues, including intellectual property matters.
Mr. Thomas combines a decade of legal experience with an understanding of the engineering world derived from his four years as an engineer at Texas Instruments and AT&T Bell Laboratories. Mr. Thomas also has a strong background in intellectual property law and litigation. In the mid- to late 1990s, he served as an intellectual property attorney at Arnold, White & Durkee, specializing in complex technology-related litigation for corporate clients such as 3M, Adtran and Ericsson. In 2000, Mr. Thomas went to Thompson & Knight in Austin, Texas, to help establish the company's new intellectual property section. During that time, he began consulting with Cirrus Logic.
Mr. Thomas has a J.D. degree from The University of Texas School of Law, a master's degree in electrical engineering from Rice University and a bachelor of science degree in electrical engineering from Virginia Tech.
Tim Turk Vice President, Worldwide Sales
Tim Turk was named vice president of Worldwide Sales in August 2007. As the leader of Cirrus Logic's global sales team, Turk will be responsible for managing Cirrus Logic's global team of direct sales, representatives and distribution partners, cultivating continued strong customer relationships and driving revenue growth.
Turk has broad experience in sales and marketing leadership positions and a proven track record in developing multiple strategic accounts in markets such as automotive, industrial, computing, networking and aerospace. Turk served 20 years in sales and operations with Cypress Semiconductor, including as vice president of Worldwide Sales and Sales Operations from 2004-2006. He also served eight years in sales and marketing at Harris Corporation in Melbourne, Fla. Turk most recently served as vice president of Sales for Averna Corporation, where he was instrumental in quickly achieving numerous customer design wins and significant revenue growth for the Portland, Ore.-based startup company.
Turk holds a bachelor of science degree in engineering technology from Purdue University and a masters in business administration degree from the University of Florida. Turk also completed a Graduate Executive Leadership Program from the University of North Carolina.
